I had a fantastic time with the children and staff at Frenchtown Elementary in Trumbull yesterday and was greeted by a most inspiring sight upon arrival~ the entire drive is lined with flags of every nation, speaking to the fact that Frenchtown Elementary is a welcoming, diverse and accepting school.

I spoke with two sessions of first graders and one large session of second graders. The young folks were attentive, familiar with my work and prepared with intelligent questions, which helps to make a fun, successful and educational appearance for all. Hats off to the librarians and teachers of Frenchtown Elementary and a special thank you to Ellen Albro for inviting me.

Happy reading, one and all!
